Creations Shop Tour
We've created a store tour to help familiarize newcomers with our style and to keep all of our Creations' friends up-to-date on what's "in-store"! We've included lots of pictures, especially from the rooms featuring our pastels, brights, batiks, reproductions, and Kaffe Fassett / Rowan and Westminster fabrics. If you haven't been to Creations recently or if you are trying to remember something you saw recently in the store - try taking the tour.

Take a look at how the store looked recently. The displays are ever changing, so don't be surprised if it looks different on your next real visit.

We're in the middle of Texas wildflower country, so our in-store customers are always interested in our selection of Texas wildflower fabrics. Sometimes these fabrics are as hard to find as wildflowers in a drought year but we are happy to say that currently we have a nice selection of bluebonnet and wildflower fabrics. Lately, we've been lucky to find quite a few wildflower and Texas oriented applique, quilt, and embroidery patterns. We've even found some Texas-themed machine embroidery designs. You'll find links to all of these on our Best of Texas page.

Creations always offers a selection of wool fabrics and patterns for Rug Hooking and Wool Applique. Some of our newest wool items are ready-to-wear wool purses, which are the colorful pieces hanging on the right of this photo.

No matter what your stitching style, you'll appreciate our wide selection of colorful threads and trims in our notions room. We also have a wonderful assortment of hand-stitchery threads.

The notions room is also home to our batting, quilting stencils, all sorts of helpful sewing tools and a wide range of upholstery trims (great for jackets, purses and pillows).

We have a huge selection of colorful batiks. In fact, our downstairs room is almost full of batiks (cotton and rayon). Here you see our cotton batik area.

We can't resist these beautiful cotton batiks so you'll always plenty of them in the store

Across the room from our cotton batiks, you'll find a display of our beautiful Bali Rayon Batik fabrics - which are just wonderful for clothing projects. Our Bali Rayon page offers a wide selection of these gorgeous fabrics and some of the patterns we've found most appropriate for their softly draping nature.

One of our fabric manufacturers is Rowan and Westminster Fabrics which offers boldly colored and patterned fabrics from designers such as Kaffe Fassett, Martha Negley, Philip Jacobs and many others.

These fabrics currently fill the major part of our main upstairs room. The quilts above the fabrics were made from Kaffe Fassett fabrics and are available on our Quilt Kits page

We've created several kits from Kaffe Fassett fabrics, like the ones shown above and to the left.

Kaffe Fassett and other Rowan/Westminster fabrics are also great for clothing, contemporary aprons, pillows, purses and decorative projects.

Black and White fabrics and quilts are always popular with our customers, so you'll almost always find a black and white section in the store. We love the way the addition of one other color, like red or yellow makes these quilts sing! We have an extensive selection of Black and White fabrics online - on their very own page.

We offer quilt kits in the store as well as online on our Quilt Kits page.

Our sun porch, currently the "Pastel Room", is the place to find fabrics that are a bit more subdued. These fabrics range from really soft pastels to some that are a bit brighter or darker.

For those who like less dramatic fabric palettes, that aren't quite pastel, we recommend some of the calmer and very pretty aqua, blue and green fabric colors on the market right now.

But wait... if you like your aquas, greens and blues to be a bit bolder, we have another group of fabrics for you. These fabrics team up with yellow, black and brown in larger scaled prints.

You can use most of the fabrics throughout the store for wearable art projects, but we've gathered many of the fabrics we offer specifically for clothing into one room. We "love the hunt" and have a wonderful selection of specialty fabrics - like home decor chenilles and tapestries, tencel and linen - that are just begging to be made into jackets, skirts, pants and purses. We recently found some beautiful ready-made linen garments that we know our customers will love. Be sure to ask about them next time you are in the store. You'll find linen jackets, pants, and blouses - like the ones in the photo to the right in a variety of colors and styles.
