| GETTING FROM QUILT HAUS IN NEW BRAUNFELS...... | ||

TO SEW SPECIAL IN SAN ANTONIO Since we don't like to "backtrack" we are going to head over to Sew Special using one of our favorite back roads... Hwy 46. Driving time to Sew Special is about an hour and a half, or less... depending on who you get behind on this road!!! Leaving the Quilt Haus go back out the parking lot and take an immediate Left and go to the first light, which is 46 West/Loop 337. Turn to the Left and we are headed to Sew Special. |

Just outside Bergheim (about 29 miles after turning onto 46 West) there is a nice new Valero gas station with Subway... might make a quick food, gas or restroom stop if you need. Once you get into Boerne, you will reach Main Street and you will have to turn one way or the other--- turn to the Left, it's still Hwy 46 West but also 87. Continue straight thru the stoplight headed to I-10 East... go straight several blocks and follow the signs to go over I-10 and head East towards San Antonio. |

You will go approximately 7 miles on I-10 East until you take Exit 550 Ralph Fair Road, Boerne Stage Road. You will travel down the feeder road for about a mile and turn to the Right on Boerne Stage Road. Take a Left into the shopping center and you will see Sew Special next to Quizno's Sub.

There is a Rudy's a little more than a mile down the way. It's on your right in case you need a gasoline or food break. You will go about 5 miles and see the New Braunfels High School on your left and then exit Right on 46 West to Boerne.
We had a wonderful sub at Quizno's... so you might give them a try. This might also be a good time for a Starbucks coffee break. There is a convenient one here...
