Kits for Quilts, Wall hangings, Etc. We have lots of fun choosing fabrics for quilts, so customers are sure to find numerous quilt kits available in our store (or in our quilt show booths). We've put some of our favorite quilt kits here on the web too. Our quilt kits are super-convenient because they almost always include all the fabrics for the quilt top, including the binding, as well as the pattern, book or instructions to construct the quilt. We often even offer a coordinating quilt backing kit with the same fabric that we used to create our sample. Sometimes the kits even include special notions like buttons or embroidery floss. Even though this page features quilt kits that often include the book or pattern, we typically offer the individual books or patterns along side each kit - in case you'd like to choose your own fabrics. Oriental Traditions
Our New London Pieces of 8 Quilt Kit ($46.00) creates a 52" x 67" quilt using the fabrics from the cotton fabric collection, New London, from Marcus Brothers. These fabrics blend together so well that we just thought a Pieces of 8 quilt would look great. Our Pieces of 8 quilt kits feature just 8 fabrics. 7 are used in the quilt and the 8th fabric is for the binding. The quilt consists of 8" squares and is a great project for a beginner - or anyone who wants a quick and beautiful quilt. 
Our Hourglass Stripes Quilt Kit ($79.00) creates a 54" x 72" quilt. The hourglass effect is created by the placement of the Kaffe Fassett shot cotton solids and stripes. Our kit includes the Hourglass Stripes pattern as well as the fabrics for the top and the binding. 
Our Pinwheel Pizzazz Quilt Kit ($89.00) creates a 52" x 72" quilt. The placement of the values of the Kaffe Fassett striped and solid fabrics makes the pinwheels stand out or recede. Our kit includes the Pinwheel Pizzazz quilt pattern as well as all the fabrics to complete the top.

Kaffe Fassett's newest book Quilts in Sweden ($ 24.95) will certainly be another hit! It features 20 beautiful quilts showcasing dynamic colorways from Kaffe's fabric collections with Rowan. The book was photographed at the Skansen Museum in Stockhom, Sweden. Our Kaffe Striped City Quilt Kit ($109.00) provides the exact set of fabrics specified in Kaffe's Quilts in Sweden book for the Striped City quilt featured on the cover of the book. The kit creates a 73" x 80" quilt and includes all the fabrics for the top as well as the binding. The kit does not include the book.
Our Kaffe Reflecting Pool Quilt Kit ($119.00) provides the exact set of fabrics specified in Kaffe's Quilts in Sweden book for the Reflecting Pool quilt. We haven't actually kitted this quilt because there are so many options! We used the Popsicle Sticks pattern, right, ($8.98) by Atkinson Designs along with Sangria Bali Pops strip sets, by Hoffman, (offered below) to create our model. Our model is a lap size quilt which uses 2 Bali Pop strip sets. Each Bali Pop strip set is $39.98. 
Our Winter Palace Pieces of 8 Flannel Quilt Kit ($48.00) creates a 52" x 67" quilt featuring 8 inch squares to show of the Winter Palace flannel fabrics from Maywood Studios. Our kit includes the instructions as well as the 8 fabrics for the top and the binding. This a great quilt for beginners or anyone who wants a quick project. 
Minkee Throw Kits The throw is constructed by sewing the pre-cut strips directly onto batting on top of a Minkee backing, so you'll also need our Brown Minkee Throw Backing Kit ($42.50) to make the quilt. (It includes 2 1/2 yards of the brown Minkee shown below.)

Cleo's Bluebonnet Quilt Kit ($79.00) creates a 38" x 50" quilt using the Cleo's Bluebonnet pattern. Cleo designed her pattern around our Creations Bluebonnet Batik, so of course our quilt kit contains that fabric (and all the others shown in the sample) as well as the pattern.

Texas Crests Bluebonnet Quilt Kit  We love the Texas Crests Machine Embroidery CD which was digitized by Susa Glen. As soon as we saw it we knew we'd have to design a quilt kit using these embroidered crests featuring Texas themed imagery. We used our Creations' Bluebonnet batik as the outer border with coordinating batiks for the entire quilt. Our Texas Crests Bluebonnet Quilt Kit ($45.00), shown right, creates a 48" x 52" quilt and contains all the fabrics to complete the top of the wallhanging, including the binding. The CD is not included. The Texas Crests Machine Embroidery CD ($79.98) not included in the kit. Raggedy Chenille Patched Flannel Blanket Kit  Here's a great light-weight blanket, made from 2 layers of flannel and one layer of chenille - no batting and no backing. We liked the flannel and chenille combination so much that we created four versions of this kit (Green, Brown, Black and Dark Red). Each Raggedy Chenille Patched Flannel Blanket Kit ($119.00) includes the pattern as well as all the flannels and chenille fabric, including the binding, to complete the 54" x 72" blanket. Her technique uses just one fabric - the secret is in the way you cut the fabric using just one shape. We've created several samples of the quilts, including a Poinsettia One- Block Wonder Quilt Kit ($48.00), shown left which creates about a 46" x 58" quilt. The size is approximate, because it depends on how many of the hexagons you use. Don't worry that hexagons will be difficult to piece together - the technique provides a simple straight-line method for stitching the quilt together. |
