Kits for Quilts, Wall hangings, Etc. We have lots of fun choosing fabrics for quilts, so customers are sure to find numerous quilt kits available in our store (or in our quilt show booths). We've put some of our favorite quilt kits here on the web too. Our quilt kits are super-convenient because they almost always include all the fabrics for the quilt top, including the binding, as well as the pattern, book or instructions to construct the quilt. We often even offer a coordinating quilt backing kit with the same fabric that we used to create our sample. Sometimes the kits even include special notions like buttons or embroidery floss. Even though this page features quilt kits that often include the book or pattern, we typically offer the individual books or patterns along side each kit - in case you'd like to choose your own fabrics. Over the Rainbow Quilt

Our Remember the Ladies Quilt Kit ($129.00) commemorates the strong women of early Texas. It features 2 star blocks in a beautiful traditional style quilt as well as a Texas Toile fabric, shown right. Our kit makes a 80" x 92" quilt and includes the pattern and all the fabrics needed to create the quilt top.
The Tan Hill Country Toile fabric was the 2013 Shop Hop fabric and is available on our Celebrate Texas page.
Here's a great way to display your patriotism. Our America Word Play Quilt Kit ($69.00) is from the book Word Play Quilts. Our kit creates a 55" x 58" quilt and includes all the fabrics needed to create the quilt top as well as the quilt binding. The kit does not include the book, which you'll need for the instructions to piece the word "America" -- our kit includes information about the size we cut for the words, but not the technique to make the words.

Our Waves of Glory Quilt Kit ($79.00) creates a 54" x 66" quilt . We love the stylized approach to representing the flag, for a modern, graphic look. The kit includes the pattern and all the fabrics needed to create the quilt top as well as the quilt binding. The pattern uses an interesting technique to get the "curves". No special ruler is used and you are not sewing a curved seam. It is a 3 dimensional design that uses squares of folded fabric to create the curves.
The Waves of Glory pattern ($10.98) can also be purchased separately just below.
Our Island Journey Quilt Kit ($139.00) creates a 54" x 70" quilt. Our kit includes the pattern, the ribbon kit, and all fabrics to complete the top as well as the binding. The ribbons are used to create the graphic lines you see throughout the quilt.
Buttons, which are also used to embellish the quilt, ARE NOT included. This is a great way to highlight some of your favorite buttons.
We also offer just the Island Journey quilt pattern ($12.98) and just the Island Journey Ribbon Kit ($36.00).
Our Royal Gardens Afternoon Delight Quilt Kit ($69.00) creates a 60" x 60" quilt and includes the pattern and all the fabrics needed to create the quilt top as well as the quilt binding.

Our Over the Rainbow Popsicle Sticks Quilt is a quilt model, not a kit. For our model, we used Moda's Over the Rainbow Jelly Rolls ($44.98 each). Each jelly roll contains 40 - 2 1/2" strips.
To create the quilt, you'll need the Popsicle Sticks Quilt pattern ($8.98) as well as the number of Moda Over the Rainbow Jelly Rolls appropriate for your chosen quilt size.
Here are the jelly roll requirements for 3 quilt sizes:
Lap Quilt (64" x 80"): 2 jelly rolls
Full Size (80" x 96'): 3 jelly rolls
Queen Size (96" x 112"): 4 jelly rolls
King Size (112" x 112") 5 jelly rolls
Our Tradewinds Tiramisu Bali Pop Quilt Kit ($109.00) creates a 59" x 73" quilt using the Hoffman Tiramisu Bali Pops. Our kit includes the Tradewinds Quilt pattern by Cozy Quilt Designs as well as all the fabrics required to make the top and bindings for our version of the quilt shown to the right.
Special note: The Tradewinds quilt pattern, as you can see below, leaves you with a half-blocks across the bottom row. They do this so that the quilt can be made with just one bali pop. Our quilt kit is designed to give you full blocks across the bottom row - so our we have added enough batiks, background and border fabrics to our kit to create a balanced design.
If you just want the pattern, we offer the Tradewinds quilt pattern ($9.98) by itself below. Just remember that if you want your quilt to have the full bottom row like ours, you'll need more fabrics than the pattern indicates.
Turning Twenty Again Quilt Kit 
Our Hourglass Stripes Quilt Kit ($79.00) creates a 54" x 72" quilt. The hourglass effect is created by the placement of the Kaffe Fassett shot cotton solids and stripes. Our kit includes the Hourglass Stripes pattern as well as the fabrics for the top and the binding. 
Everyone had a great time with Kaffe Fassett and Brandon Mably at The Main House in October. We've kitted 6 of the quilts in Kaffe's latest book - Quilts in Sweden and offer them below. Each of these kits contains the EXACT fabrics Kaffe calls for in the book.

Kaffe Fassett's newest book Quilts in Sweden ($ 24.95) will certainly be another hit! It features 20 beautiful quilts showcasing dynamic colorways from Kaffe's fabric collections with Rowan. The book was photographed at the Skansen Museum in Stockhom, Sweden. Our Kaffe Striped City Quilt Kit ($109.00) provides the exact set of fabrics specified in Kaffe's Quilts in Sweden book for the Striped City quilt featured on the cover of the book. The kit creates a 73" x 80" quilt and includes all the fabrics for the top as well as the binding. The kit does not include the book.
Our Kaffe Reflecting Pool Quilt Kit ($129.00) provides the exact set of fabrics specified in Kaffe's Quilts in Sweden book for the Reflecting Pool quilt. The kit creates a 74" x 98" quilt in calming cool colors and includes all the fabrics for the top as well as the binding. The kit does not include the book.

Our Smokey River Quilt Kit ($149.00) makes a 76" x 97" quilt using 2 of the Stonehenge 2 1/2" strip sets ( our #'s 206915 and 206916 shown below) The kit includes the 2 strip sets as well as the instructions.

To complete the quilt, you'll need the EZ Companion Ruler ($12.98) and the EZ Easy Angle Ruler ($11.98), which are not included in the kit. We offer those separately in case you don't already have them. 
Cleo's Bluebonnet Quilt Kit ($79.00) creates a 38" x 50" quilt using the Cleo's Bluebonnet pattern. Cleo designed her pattern around our Creations Bluebonnet Batik, so of course our quilt kit contains that fabric (and all the others shown in the sample) as well as the pattern.

Her technique uses just one fabric - the secret is in the way you cut the fabric using just one shape. We've created several samples of the quilts, including a Poinsettia One- Block Wonder Quilt Kit ($48.00), shown left which creates about a 46" x 58" quilt. The size is approximate, because it depends on how many of the hexagons you use. Don't worry that hexagons will be difficult to piece together - the technique provides a simple straight-line method for stitching the quilt together. |

The wonderful thing about these quilt kits is that each resulting quilt will be unique, even if you and your best quilting buddy buy the same kit.
